Bacteriostatic Water is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol (as a bacteriostatic preservative). It is used as a diluent or solvent for reconstituting peptides and other research compounds prior to laboratory use.
The addition of benzyl alcohol allows for multiple withdrawals from a single vial, making it ideal for multi-use research protocols where maintaining sterility is essential.

Peptide Information
To effectively store your peptides and maintain their stability, keep them in a cool, dry, and dark environment. Lyophilized (powdered) peptides should be stored in a freezer at -20°C or below, sealed tightly to prevent moisture exposure. Once reconstituted with a solvent, peptides should be kept in the refrigerator (2–8°C) and used within a short period—typically a few weeks, depending on the specific peptide. Always avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles, as they can degrade peptide integrity; instead, aliquot the solution into smaller portions before freezing. Use sterile containers and handle peptides carefully to preserve purity and potency.
